Concord's Colonial Inn
Book This Hotel
The original building was constructed by one of Concord’s earliest settlers in 1716. Former residents included Henry David Thoreau before the property was converted to a hotel in 1889. The inn provides a walking guide to the many local Revolutionary War and literary landmarks. On site is a gift shop with postcards, books, maps, and tourist information.
The Concord's Colonial Inn’s six function rooms are individually decorated in Colonial style, and are popular for meetings, banquets, and wedding parties. Multiple dining venues include tearooms, taverns, and full-service restaurants, as well as alfresco seating on the front porch in summer. A high tea with homemade scones, sandwiches, and an assortment of teas is served on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays in the Thoreau Room.
Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the hotel.

This Concord inn encompasses several buildings, and each of the 56 guestrooms has a unique character. Rooms are individually decorated in Colonial-era style with hand-picked antiques and reproductions, patterned wallpaper, colorful draperies, and decorative details such as gilded mirrors or quilts handmade by the current owner’s wife.
Historic rooms located in the original inn vary in shape and size; some have original post-beamed ceilings, wainscoting, and plank pine floors. Many historic rooms are furnished with four-poster or sleigh beds, and some have decorative fireplaces and views of Monument Square. The Prescott Wing, added to the inn in 1970, features European and Deluxe rooms. Decor leans to New England country style, with striped or patterned wallpaper and wingback chairs. European rooms are on the garden level, while Deluxe rooms offer views of Monument Square.
All rooms feature windows that open, cable TV with premium channels, and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access (network cards available for rent).
